For more than 10 years KM is also engaged in educating sales people in the field of wholesale and foreign trade. Our slogan “learning by doing – do it yourself” is the best way to communicate knowledge. We are setting a high value on the following steps: Three years of education, no time reduction, every half year the trainees are being comprehensively acquainted with all classical departments of wholesale: financial, purchasing, sale, filing, shipping and export. A personal computer working station equipped with a merchandise information system, MS-office programmes, web and email access for research activities give full support to the young people. At the same time the trainee is getting used to different computer applications.
“Take over responsibility” is the aim from the very first day of the training period and applies to all fields: contact with customers and business partners, submitting of quotations, association with authorities or organisation of mailings. Our trainees can constantly gather experience with the “real” business. Our people from the export department are communicating with our customers in their individual mother tongue. Therefore quotations, supporting documents and accompanying documents are correspondingly issued. The young people are involved in the organisation of shows and fairs. They are taking care of the decoration and assembling of the booth and attend the shows to support our sales people. Our supervisors have content trainees who are very eager for knowledge and instructions.
Every trainee is in charge of special projects like phone bills, accounting control, car pool or responsiblity for the garbage collection. This independant work as well as examination of special topics and customers is an essential contribution to a profound education.
KM is eventually offering a training in order to invest into its own new generation – and this is worthwhile itself.
